Biography
My research focuses on how events might be used as conceptual structures for digitally organizing narrative information across different types of media, and how information systems might better support the expression of multiple perspectives on events and their linkages. I am also quite interested in new media art and entertainment and try to involve myself in projects that explore the spaces between technology, entertainment, art, and design.

Research interests:
Community-contributed metadata for audiovisual media.

How I cross disciplines:
Multimedia computing + media studies + semantic web + collective action.

Information challenge I’d most like to address:
Making audiovisual media easier to find and simpler to author.

Favorite thing about the iSchool:
The other students.

A website I recommend:
http://unmediated.org/

Something few people know about me:
I almost went to law school.
