this, Oxford Street changes its name to Fulton Street). Turn

Bancroft Way (west) and Durant Avenue (east) are one-way streets.
Channing way is two-way. Consult the map

Directions to the conference hotel:
![]() By car: From San Francisco Airport, take U.S. 101 north to San Francisco; follow the signs to the Bay Bridge/Sacramento, bearing right when the freeway splits after Army Street. On the other side of San Francisco Bay you will bear left following signs that say Interstate 80/Sacramento. About 5 miles north you take the University Avenue exit which takes you right toward the University of California. At the first light (6th St) make a U-turn and go back across the freeway toward the Bay. As the road forks (with water on your left and grass on your right), bear to the right and the Marina Radisson entrance will be 1/3 mile on your left. From Oakland Airport, take Interstate 880 north until you meet I-80. Do not take 980 or 580. Continue north (the signs should say Sacramento/Berkeley) to the University Avenue exit. At the first light (6th St) make a U-turn and go back across the freeway toward the Bay. As the road forks (with water on your left and grass on your right), bear to the right and the Marina Radisson entrance will be 1/3 mile on your left. From I 80 to the north, Take the University Avenue exit and follow the circle and at it's end turn left (not right), and follow directions above. By Airport Shuttle: A number of shuttles are available from both Airports to the Berkeley Radisson hotel. The most reliable from San Francisco Airport is Bayporter Express. You can reserve by calling (415) 467-1800. The rate from San Francisco Airport is $13.00/person. The rate from Oakland Airport will be posted. By Cab: Cab rates from San Francisco Airport run about $55 and about $30 from Oakland Airport. By Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART): The BART train system is a convenient method to travel between San Francisco and Berkeley. Schedules and maps can be found at www.bart.org. However, BART does not go directly to either airport; a shuttle bus or cab must be taken to the nearest BART station. To get to the Radisson from BART, take the downtown Berkeley exit and get a cab, which should be less than $10. The # 51M bus across the street (Shattuck Avenue) will go to the Berkeley Marina for $1.25. To get to campus from BART, take the downtown Berkeley exit and walk east for about 5 minutes until you reach the appropriate campus building. By Bus: The 51A bus runs regularly from the Berkeley Marina to campus (see bus schedule and map). Generally you catch it on University Blvd at the intersection of Marina Blvd. A few buses stop at the Radisson (those marked with * on the schedule). The trip takes 15-20 minutes. This bus also stops at Berkeley BART (corner Allston Way and Shattuck, across from the Shattuck Hotel) which is near campus. The 51M bus runs in the opposite direction from campus (corner Bancroft and Telegraph) to the Berkeley Marina. Cabs can usually be found at the Berkeley Bart station. More information on the AC Transit bus routes (the relevant bus routes are 51 and 52; more information can be found at www.transitinfo.org
Parking on Campus: Parking on campus requires a permit; there is little non-metered parking near campus. See this map and public-safety.berkeley.edu/p&t/public.html
The wine tour has been cancelled. Those who signed up will receive refunds at the registration desk at the conference.
